Itchen Valley ARC has a
fairly high percentage of licensed female members of the club.
Many of these members are active 'hams'.
Following the success of our
recent 2nd Foundation Course we are pleased that 5 more Y/L's
are now licensed and will soon be added to this page.

Liz, M0ACL
Organizes Thinking Day on the Air venues and
Special Event stations for the Guide Association in Hampshire.
Is a member of the Club team in various contests
throughout the year.
Enjoys constructing various portable antennas
to use when taking her Brownie Pack on holiday. At the moment
Liz is constructing the W3FF
Portable Dipole which uses narrow plastic plumbing pipe
and 2 x 72" telescopic whips.
|
It's almost ready to test and
was fairly straight forward to construct, the main problems
were caused because this was designed in the USA the pipe
and fittings are slightly different and the whips had to be
shipped over (thanks to Steve).
